Switching to bar Soap and solid Shampoo may seem weird at first but believe me, it is worth a switch. Our family actually did the switch years ago.
I remember that I used to tell my wife how I was against that switch, finding as many as stupid argument against it. I was like; " I don't feel clean", "my skin will go dry". At that time I had a lot of issues with my skin and had to use some cream to re-hydrate my skin.
It's been more than 5 years now, and I would never go back!
And then, for some reason, I decided to try. I was probably the last one in the family. Since then, I never had to use any more cream to re-hydrate my body, this issue I had, is now part of the past and that's a true story. It's been more than 5 years now, and I would never go back.
Besides my story, there are many reasons you should switch to a solid solutions (Soap and Shampoo) and Closiist is here to help.
In fact, they are solid which means there is no need for a plastic bottle. Did you know that a plastic bottle will last at least 450 years in a marine environment? According to Gobal Citizen, at least 8 million tons of plastic enter the oceans each year. That’s similar to emptying a garbage truck of plastic into an ocean every minute. Some non-profit like eCollabo8 even collects them on the beach to recycle the plastic in artistic products.
Producing a solid shampoo or a bar soaps requests way less water than their liquid counterpart.
Solids are more concentrated than liquids. They will last longer and are often less expensive.
We just saw that they are more concentrated, which means you will use less for a better result. On top of that, Closiist only carry bar soaps and solid shampoos made with natural ingredients, that will protect your body and you hair. Goat milk, coconut, Aloe vera are the most common ingredients. No more chemicals!
Indeed, no benefits to liquids over solid, but a lot of benefits to solid over liquids.
At Closiist, #No Planet B is our credo, and switching to solids is probably the easy sustainable move that you could do.
