About Tangie

For as long as I can remember, I have had sensitivities to many store-bought products. I realized that certain ingredients would probably be the cause of the problem. So, I began creating my own waste-free product “recipes” for body and household use. In the beginning, I wanted to clean my windows naturally… without harsh chemicals. I did some reading and researching. The first old-school formula I found that made sense was vinegar and water. Wow! Clean windows without chemicals!

Then I began reading about petroleum-based ingredients. I didn’t need a degree in rocket science to figure out that I was wearing those petro-chemicals every day. Yuck! Gross! Plastic Free Laundry soap was my next “product”.

My first recipes were straight off the internet. You’ve probably seen it; the Borax, Washing Soda, and Fels Naptha soap. At that time, according to the internet; that was how to make “natural plastic-free laundry soap”. Natural soap with man-made chemicals? No! There had to be a better way. What did people use to clean their clothes a long long time ago? I researched and read everything I could find regarding natural ingredients and clothes cleaning. Finally, I came upon real natural ingredients. I’m talking yucca root, hazelnuts, and soap nuts. Yep, I would start washing my clothes with nuts and berries.
