Annik, the Arctic Hare, has arrived.

In Inuktitut, the language of the Inuit, the Arctic indigenous inhabitants of Alaska, Canada, and Greenland, "Annik" means "blizzard." Annik, like all the Sustainimals in the Arctic Collection, is a cuddly stuffed animal made entirely of post-consumer plastic fabric, filling, and thread. Annik is soft and cuddly, with no sharp edges or potential choking dangers.

Polyester is made of plastic, in case you didn't know. I didn't either until I began working on Sustainimals! Polyester is made of plastic, and thanks to breakthrough technology, it can now be created from recycled plastic! Fabric, stuffing, and thread for Sustainimals are produced entirely of post-consumer recycled plastic. All of the materials were tested and certified to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) 4.0.
