Reflections on Climate Week NYC 2025 🌍

Climate Week NYC has just wrapped up — and what an inspiring week it has been! We wanted to share a glimpse of the experiences, people, and ideas that made this week so memorable for us at Clozist.

Sunday: Starting with Action at Socrates Sculpture Park

We kicked things off on Sunday, September 21, with a community clean-up at the beautiful Socrates Sculpture Park. Julie, our co-founder, who also serves as co-president of her children’s school PTO, helped organize the event together with the school’s sustainable program and parents. The weather was perfect, and we spent two hours outdoors doing something simple yet powerful: taking care of our environment. 

An Inspiring Invitation: The XPRIZE Event

We were honored to be invited to XPRIZE, where we met incredible people all working toward one shared mission — improving our world. Among these connections, we had a particularly meaningful encounter with someone who will help us pursue our goal of reshaping e-commerce into something more eco-friendly and decarbonizing online retail.

Scaling Sustainable Solutions from Quebec

One of the highlights was attending a pitch session from Quebec: Scaling Sustainable Solutions from Quebec – Unlock the Power of Your Choices for the Climate! The event was full of innovative ideas that showed just how much individual and collective choices can shape a sustainable future.

Global Perspectives: Africa: Sudan & Egypt

We also had the opportunity to connect with important voices from Sudan and Egypt, discussing the impact of AI on health. These conversations explored both the challenges and advances, bringing together politicians and entrepreneurs who are driving real change.

Thursday: Investors in Sustainability

On Thursday, we joined a full day dedicated to meeting global investors in sustainability. The sessions were packed with insights from key players across the sustainability landscape. It was an eye-opening reminder of how much momentum the ecological transition is gaining worldwide.

We ended the week at the inspiring Marketplace of the Future, a space where innovators and entrepreneurs showcased solutions that are reshaping industries and consumer habits. It was the perfect close to a week filled with vision, collaboration, and optimism.
