Peruvian Vanilla Beans are whole Grade A pods grown in the Amazon Rainforest region of Peru, prized for a flavor profile of cherries, raisins, and figs with sweet floral undertones. They're a good pick for anyone making homemade vanilla extract, baking, or looking for a thoughtful gift for the baker or home brewer in their life. Each pod comes from a small annual harvest, so what you get is genuinely rare.

🌿 Features

  • 🫘 Grade A Whole Pods: Handpicked beans measuring approximately 6–7 inches (15–18 cm) long.
  • 🎨 Color & Texture: Black or dark brown skin, packed with black vanilla seeds inside.
  • 🍒 Distinct Flavor Profile: Notes of cherries, raisins, and figs, layered with sweet floral undertones.
  • 🌱 Origin: Grown at high altitude in the Amazon Rainforest region of Peru, where the Andes meet the Amazon.
  • ☀️ Traditionally Cured: Sun-cured over 6 to 9 months after pollination, the traditional method used to develop full vanilla flavor from over 200 organic compounds.
  • 🔍 Triple Inspected: Checked by farmers in Peru, again before vacuum sealing, and a final time at our warehouse before shipping.
  • 📦 Vacuum Sealed: Packed at a tight 28 HG vacuum in a custom industrial pouch to lock in freshness.

💛 Benefits

  • 🎂 Real Vanilla Flavor: Skip artificial vanilla flavoring (WONF) and get the complex, layered taste only whole cured beans deliver.
  • 🥃 Great for Homemade Extract: Perfect for a simple vodka infusion to make your own vanilla extract or homemade Kahlua.
  • 👩‍🍳 Versatile in the Kitchen: Use them for cake, cookies, ice cream, crème brûlée, or your morning coffee.
  • 🎁 Thoughtful Gift: Homemade vanilla extract or Kahlua made from these beans makes a warm, personal gift for holidays or any occasion.
  • ♻️ Nothing Wasted: Save the spent beans after extraction to make your own vanilla sugar.
  • 🔒 Long Shelf Life: Vacuum sealing keeps beans fresh for approximately 2 years when stored properly.

📝 How to Use

  • 1. Split the bean lengthwise with a sharp knife.
  • 2. Scrape out the seeds with the back of your knife.
  • 3. Add seeds and pod to your recipe, or submerge whole beans in vodka to start homemade extract.
  • 4. Store any unused beans in a vacuum-sealed bag or an airtight glass jar.

About Vanilla Bean Kings

Meet Vanilla Bean Kings: From a Basement Dream to Madagascar’s Fields.

What started in 2014 with a single kilogram of Madagascar vanilla has grown into a global mission for quality and fairness. Founded by a passionate baker who realized that premium vanilla was often overpriced and under-sourced, Vanilla Bean Kings was built to bridge the gap between Malagasy farmers and your kitchen.

They don’t just sell spices; they build relationships. In 2018, the team traveled to the SAVA region of Madagascar to meet their suppliers firsthand, ensuring that sustainability and fair trade aren't just buzzwords, but a way of life. When you choose Vanilla Bean Kings on Clozist, you are supporting a supply chain that empowers farmers, ensures traceability, and brings the world’s finest "black gold" directly to your pantry.
