The Mission of Waste Free Celebrations
At Waste Free Celebrations, the brand helps people enjoy the color and joy of traditions—without the waste. They create reusable alternatives to single-use items, ensuring that celebrations can be beautiful, sustainable, and meaningful.

WFC manufactures their products in Afghanistan to provide dignified employment to women who have few other opportunities. Every product a customer purchases becomes a source of stability, income, and hope for these women.

The Story Behind the Brand
What began in 2020 as a small craft idea in rural New Zealand quickly grew into a movement. Following unexpected success during lockdowns, they hired local and Afghan refugee women to help keep up with demand.

By 2024, rising costs necessitated a move to offshore production. With deep ties to Afghanistan, Waste Free Celebrations chose to open a woman-owned workshop in Kabul. Rahila, their Head of Production and a former refugee, bravely returned to lead the operation—setting up the space, hiring staff, and restarting the business from the ground up.

Today, 26 Afghan women sew their reusable gift bags and crackers, and with more machines, they could hire many more.

Orders are usually dispatched within 2-3 business days. 

The shipping rate is calculated and displayed at checkout. Free shipping is available for orders over $49.00 for Shakers members of our reward program, and with no minimum, for Makers members (We can't offer free shipping when the lowest shipping cost exceeds $10).

Shipment confirmation and order tracking:
Once your order is fulfilled, you receive a tracking number to follow your package by email. Allow 24-48 hours for the carrier to update the tracking number in its system.

We might ship your order in more than 1 package. In that case, you receive a tracking number for each shipment.
