✨ Features

  • 🧶 Handcrafted by artisans: Made by skilled local craftspeople in Ecuador using time-honoured weaving techniques rooted in Incan heritage.
  • 🌿 Natural, undyed fibres: INGA Alpaca does not dye or chemically treat their fleece — every colour is completely natural, carefully handpicked for quality.

  • 🎨 Subtle, nature-inspired colours: Available in Green/Raw Beige, Green/Nutmeg Brown, and Green/Pewter Grey Light — tones that reflect the landscapes of Ecuador.
  • 👐 Supports remote communities: Each purchase directly supports the small family artisan communities that INGA works with to keep traditional crafts alive.
  • 📐 Versatile wear: Drapes beautifully as a scarf or shawl, making it a practical everyday accessory as much as a special occasion piece.

About Purely Alpaca

## Purely Alpaca

Some of the best businesses begin with curiosity—and **Purely Alpaca** is no exception.

The company was founded after Brian and Paula Schieber discovered alpacas in a magazine while traveling. Fascinated by these remarkable animals, they spent years learning about alpacas before establishing their own award-winning alpaca farm in the Pacific Northwest. What began as a small farm store for visitors soon grew into **PurelyAlpaca.com**, a family-owned business that has been sharing the beauty and benefits of alpaca fiber since 2002.

Today, Purely Alpaca offers one of the largest collections of alpaca clothing, accessories, home goods, and gifts, carefully sourced from artisans and makers in the United States and South America. From cozy socks and elegant scarves to luxurious blankets and handcrafted gifts, every product celebrates one of nature's most remarkable fibers.

### Why Alpaca?

Alpaca fiber has been treasured for centuries—and for good reason. It is naturally soft, lightweight, and exceptionally warm while remaining breathable. Unlike many traditional wools, alpaca contains little to no lanolin, making it naturally hypoallergenic for many people who find sheep's wool irritating. It is also durable, moisture-wicking, and naturally odor-resistant, making it an excellent choice for everyday wear as well as outdoor adventures.

### A Commitment to Small Businesses and Sustainability

As a family-owned company, Purely Alpaca believes in supporting other small businesses throughout the alpaca industry. They work closely with farmers, artisans, and manufacturers across the United States, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Chile, and Canada, helping promote fair trade practices, responsible sourcing, and sustainable livelihoods. Their supply chain emphasizes traceability and ethical partnerships while supporting the long-term well-being of both alpacas and the communities that care for them.

Purely Alpaca also recognizes the environmental advantages of alpaca fiber. Alpacas have soft-padded feet that are gentle on grasslands, and they graze in ways that are less damaging to ecosystems than many other livestock. Choosing natural, long-lasting fibers like alpaca can help reduce reliance on synthetic materials and encourage a wardrobe built to last.

At Clozist, we're proud to welcome Purely Alpaca to our community of brands that value craftsmanship, natural materials, and conscious living. Their products reflect a simple philosophy: when quality, sustainability, and timeless design come together, the result is something you'll treasure for years to come.
