Woven by hand in rural Cambodia, this silk scarf is the kind of piece you reach for again and again. Lightweight yet generous in size, it works equally well as a classic neck scarf or a draped wrap — and it's made to last a lifetime. Every scarf comes from a women's weaving cooperative with deep roots in Cambodian heritage, making it a meaningful gift for someone special (or a well-deserved treat for yourself).

✨ Features

  • 🧣 100% Khmer Silk: Pure Cambodian silk with a naturally lustrous finish and featherlight feel.
  • 📏 Generous Dimensions: 66" long x 33" wide — roomy enough to wear as a scarf, shawl, or wrap.
  • 🎨 Non-Toxic Dyes: Coloured with dyes that are safe for skin and kinder to the environment.
  • 🤲 Traditionally Handloomed: Each scarf is woven on a hand loom by skilled artisan women in the Takeo Province.
  • 🌿 Farm-to-Fabric: The silk thread is spun locally from cocoons raised by 350 mulberry farmers in the same region.
  • 🌍 One of a Kind: Slight natural variations in each piece mean no two scarves are exactly alike.
  • 🧼 Easy Care: Hand wash with a gentle detergent. Do not iron or steam.

💛 Benefits

  • A versatile wardrobe staple that transitions from everyday wear to special occasions without skipping a beat.
  • Silk's natural breathability keeps you comfortable in both warm and cool weather.
  • Buying this scarf directly supports the financial independence of women weavers and their families in rural Cambodia.
  • The cooperative helps preserve an ancient weaving tradition that might otherwise be lost — your purchase plays a real part in keeping it alive.
  • Beautifully packaged and thoughtfully made, it's a gift that carries genuine meaning for birthdays, holidays, Mother's Day, or any occasion worth celebrating.

🏡 The Story Behind the Scarf

The cooperative behind this scarf is based in Takeo Province, one of Cambodia's more rural and economically isolated regions. It employs over 500 weavers from 7 villages, offering stable work and skills training to women who would otherwise have few local options. By working from home, these women stay close to their children while building real financial independence.

The silk itself begins just down the road — 350 local farmers grow mulberry trees, raise silkworms, and spin the cocoons into thread before it ever reaches the loom. It's a fully local, fully traceable process, and the result is a scarf with genuine craftsmanship behind every thread.
