- Always use a fitted votive holder. The holder should fit snugly around the candle. Too much space around the candle allows wax to spread out and go unburned, which shortens the burn time significantly.
- Let it burn fully. When about 1/2" of wax remains, let the candle burn until it goes out on its own. This gets the most out of every candle and reduces leftover wax.
