Julie Attends Historic Dedication of New Whale Defense Ship in NYC
Closiist founder, Julie, recently joined a momentous occasion in New York City: the dedication of the John Paul DeJoria, a new ship for the Captain Paul Watson Foundation (CPWF).
This vessel, named after philanthropist John Paul DeJoria, will play a critical role in the CPWF's mission to protect endangered marine life, specifically focusing on Fin whales threatened by Icelandic whalers.
The dedication ceremony, held on June 2nd, 2023, marked a significant milestone for ocean conservation efforts. John Paul DeJoria, a longtime supporter of Captain Paul Watson, played a vital role in acquiring the ship through his generous donation. With the John Paul DeJoria now operational, the CPWF is well-equipped to launch Operation Paiakan, a campaign aimed at safeguarding Fin whales in the waters between Iceland and Greenland.
Julie's presence at the dedication ceremony underscores Closiist's commitment to environmental responsibility and a shared passion for protecting our oceans. Closiist champions sustainable living and empowers consumers to make conscious choices that benefit the planet.
The CPWF relies on public support to continue its vital work. We encourage you to learn more about Operation Paiakan and the Captain Paul Watson Foundation at https://www.paulwatsonfoundation.org/ and consider contributing to their ongoing efforts.
Together, we can make a difference for the future of our oceans and the incredible creatures that call them home.
