Hawaiian Grade A vanilla beans are Planifolia pods grown on volcanic soil in Hawaii, the only US state where vanilla can be commercially cultivated outdoors. Expect a rich, creamy vanilla flavor with floral, fruity, and light caramel notes, plus an aroma that carries hints of tropical fruit and earthiness. These beans come from a local Hawaiian farmer we've partnered with directly, and they make a thoughtful gift for the baker or cook in your life.
🌺 Features
- 🌱 Grade A Planifolia Beans: Traditionally cured pods from the latest vanilla crop, hand-picked for plumpness, deep color, and aroma.
- 📏 Generous Size: Average length of 6-8 inches (15-20cm) per bean.
- 🌋 Hawaiian Grown: Cultivated in volcanic soil under island conditions found nowhere else in the US.
- 🤝 Hand-Pollinated: Vanilla flowers are hand-pollinated by farmers, a labor-intensive step that keeps this crop rare.
- 🔍 Triple Inspected: Checked by the farmer, before vacuum sealing, and once more at our South Dakota warehouse for smell, quality, and mold.
- 📦 Vacuum Sealed Fresh: Packed in a custom industrial vacuum pouch at a tight 28 HG vacuum to lock in freshness.

About Vanilla Bean Kings
Meet Vanilla Bean Kings: From a Basement Dream to Madagascar’s Fields.
What started in 2014 with a single kilogram of Madagascar vanilla has grown into a global mission for quality and fairness. Founded by a passionate baker who realized that premium vanilla was often overpriced and under-sourced, Vanilla Bean Kings was built to bridge the gap between Malagasy farmers and your kitchen.
They don’t just sell spices; they build relationships. In 2018, the team traveled to the SAVA region of Madagascar to meet their suppliers firsthand, ensuring that sustainability and fair trade aren't just buzzwords, but a way of life. When you choose Vanilla Bean Kings on Clozist, you are supporting a supply chain that empowers farmers, ensures traceability, and brings the world’s finest "black gold" directly to your pantry.
