Planet-Friendly Perspectives: Sustainability Event in NYC
Join Us for a Planet-Friendly Evening at Impact Hub NYC
We'd love for you to join us on Monday, March 10 at Impact Hub for a special presentation evening centred on sustainability, community, and real conversation.
Liubov Volkova and Julie Thibault-Dury (Clozist co-owner) will open the evening by introducing themselves and sharing the vision behind the Coffee & Sustainability group — a community built around meaningful ideas and everyday eco-conscious living.
Meet Our Speakers
We're happy to welcome John-Paul, CEO of Impact Hub NYC and NJ, who will give us a look at this vibrant, greenery-filled coworking space — a genuinely inspiring home for anyone who cares about the planet.
A big thank you to our partner Andrea and her team at the NYC Fair Trade Coalition, whose support has made this event possible. They'll be sharing how they're tackling fast fashion waste and championing sustainable alternatives.

Guest Speaker: Erin Acosta 🌿
Erin is the Director of Family Engagement and Communications at Growing Up Green Charter Schools — a school that weaves sustainability into everyday learning for elementary and middle school students. A Queens native, Erin first joined the school as a parent before stepping into a leadership role. She'll be sharing how sustainability comes to life in the classroom, from hands-on projects to green-themed interdisciplinary learning. It's a wonderful reminder that building a greener future starts early.
We'll be adding more speakers as the date gets closer, so keep an eye out!
What to Expect on the Night
Over two hours, you'll have plenty of time to connect with like-minded people, swap ideas, and leave feeling genuinely inspired. We'd love it if you brought vegetarian snacks or drinks to share, and if you can make the journey by metro or bus, even better — every small step counts.
📍 Location: Near Bryant Park, 417 5th Avenue, NYC
🕡 Time: 6:30 – 8:30 PM
We're looking forward to a warm, welcoming evening full of honest conversations and positive energy. No background in climate or sustainability is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to connect. We hope to see you there. 😊
