Founded by two brothers, **Clark and Rich Porter**, along with their cousin **Rob Porter**, Deep Cut was born out of a shared love of vinyl records. As their collections grew, they struggled to find shelving that was beautiful, functional, and designed specifically for record albums. After one of Rich's puppies chewed up several of his favorite records, the need for a better storage solution became even more obvious. When they couldn't find what they were looking for, they decided to build it themselves.
Today, Deep Cut designs and handcrafts premium wood shelving and home décor in their Minnesota workshop. Every piece is built in small batches using carefully selected hardwoods such as walnut and maple, chosen for their durability, natural beauty, and timeless appeal. Rather than taking shortcuts, the team embraces traditional woodworking techniques—including precision miter-fold joints that create seamless corners without visible screws or nails—resulting in furniture that is both elegant and built to last.

Shipping & Delivery
Orders are usually dispatched within 2-3 business days.
The shipping rate is calculated and displayed at checkout. Free shipping is available for orders over $49.00 for Shakers members of our reward program, and with no minimum, for Makers members (We can't offer free shipping when the lowest shipping cost exceeds $10).
Shipment confirmation and order tracking:
Once your order is fulfilled, you receive a tracking number to follow your package by email. Allow 24-48 hours for the carrier to update the tracking number in its system.
We might ship your order in more than 1 package. In that case, you receive a tracking number for each shipment.
