What To Expect When Using Flawn Seed: With regular watering, seeds will start to germinate in 1-2 weeks when soils are at least 50-60 degrees, and plants will be small for the first couple of months. After the first growing season, your "Flawn" will establish and show its low-flowering characteristics. Watering regularly after seeding and through dry periods is critical for success. Mature flowering lawns with many blooms can take up to 6-24 months to fully establish, especially in thicker grass lawns that have been heavily fertilized in the past.

How to Seed Your Flawn:

1. Prepare: Mow your existing grass to 0.5" and lightly rake to loosen the soil.
2. Spread: Simply spread the Micro Clover evenly over the prepared area using the shaker.
3. Water: Water lightly but frequently after seeding, ensuring soil and seedlings don't dry out.

• Seeding Timing: Can be seeded in spring, late summer, or early fall. For dormant seeding, spread over fresh snow on a calm day when the ground is frozen. If seeding in spring, wait until the ground thaws and soil temperatures are around 55 degrees. Avoid seeding before hot and dry periods to keep soil from completely drying out during germination.
• Bare Soil Areas: Our Flawn Seed is designed to be over-seeded into existing grass to create about half grass and half clover. If you are starting with bare soil, you can add 2-4 lbs of fine fescue grass seed per 1,000 sq ft, or increase your seeding rates if you desire a pure clover lawn.

Maintaining Your Flawn:

• Mowing: Mow at 2-3 inches for the first year. Once established, you can choose your desired look: mowing higher and less often will promote more flowers (though still less than Dutch White Clover) and have a more wild look. Mowing shorter and more often will have a more traditional lawn look with little to no flowers.
• No Pesticides: Do not use pesticide weed or insect killers. Hand-weed if necessary or desired.
• Fertilizer: No fertilizer is needed once Micro Clover is established.
• Watering: Once established, it requires much less watering, typically only during extended dry periods.
