We are proud to feature Meli Wraps, a family-owned company on a mission to help people reduce plastic waste—one reusable wrap at a time. Founded on the Hawaiian island of Kauaʻi, Meli Wraps was created by childhood friends Melia Foster and Nicole Galchutt after Melia noticed that the beaches she loved were becoming covered with more plastic than seashells. Determined to leave a cleaner planet for future generations, they created a beautiful, practical alternative to single-use plastic wrap.
The name "Meli" means "honeybee" in Hawaiian, reflecting both the company's island roots and its commitment to supporting local beekeepers. Every Meli Wrap is handcrafted in Hawaiʻi using 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton, local Hawaiian beeswax, natural tree resin, and plant oils. These carefully selected natural materials create flexible, reusable food wraps that help keep food fresh while eliminating the need for disposable plastic wrap and sandwich bags.
Sustainability is at the heart of everything Meli Wraps does. Each wrap is designed to last up to 150 washes, or approximately one to two years, replacing dozens of rolls of plastic wrap and hundreds of disposable plastic bags over its lifetime. Once it reaches the end of its useful life, the wrap is fully compostable, helping reduce landfill waste and supporting a more circular lifestyle.
Beyond creating eco-friendly products, Meli Wraps is deeply committed to protecting the environment and strengthening its local community. The company supports Hawaiian beekeepers, helping preserve healthy bee populations that are essential to our ecosystems and food supply. Shipping & Delivery
Orders are usually dispatched within 2-3 business days.
The shipping rate is calculated and displayed at checkout. Free shipping is available for orders over $49.00 for Shakers members of our reward program, and with no minimum, for Makers members (We can't offer free shipping when the lowest shipping cost exceeds $10).
Shipment confirmation and order tracking:
Once your order is fulfilled, you receive a tracking number to follow your package by email. Allow 24-48 hours for the carrier to update the tracking number in its system.
We might ship your order in more than 1 package. In that case, you receive a tracking number for each shipment.
We never guarantee a delivery date and all dates shown are estimates.
