## Shoe-Fix & Boot-Fix

Sometimes, the most sustainable choice isn't buying something new—it's **repairing what you already own**.

Shoe-Fix and Boot-Fix have their roots in traditional shoe repair. The story began with Ed, who opened a shoe repair shop after serving in World War II. For more than 20 years, he repaired and restored customers' favorite shoes, helping them continue to wear comfortable footwear instead of replacing it.

His sons, Dean and John, learned the shoe-repair trade from him and continued the family tradition. As footwear materials changed, traditional shoe adhesives became less effective, particularly with newer materials. John eventually developed the idea of making the strong adhesive used by professionals available to consumers for simple repairs at home.

### Repair Instead of Replace

Shoe-Fix is **not an eco-friendly product in itself**, and we believe it's important to be transparent about that. However, we believe the purpose of the product can have a meaningful environmental impact.

A damaged sole or separated shoe doesn't necessarily mean the end of its life. Repairing footwear can help extend the life of products we already own and avoid replacing them unnecessarily.

Of course, a skilled cobbler remains the best choice for more complex repairs and restoration. But for simple fixes, Shoe-Fix and Boot-Fix give people the opportunity to repair their footwear themselves.

### Why Repair Matters

That's why we chose to include Shoe-Fix—not because the glue itself is a "green" product, but because **repairing instead of replacing is an important part of a more circular way of living**.

Sometimes, a small repair can give a favorite pair of shoes many more months or even years of life.

Orders are usually dispatched within 2-3 business days. 

The shipping rate is calculated and displayed at checkout. Free shipping is available for orders over $49.00 for Shakers members of our reward program, and with no minimum, for Makers members (We can't offer free shipping when the lowest shipping cost exceeds $10).

Shipment confirmation and order tracking:
Once your order is fulfilled, you receive a tracking number to follow your package by email. Allow 24-48 hours for the carrier to update the tracking number in its system.

We might ship your order in more than 1 package. In that case, you receive a tracking number for each shipment.

Your order might be delayed in case we experience a high volume of orders. If your order fulfillment is delayed, we will let you know by email asap.
