Every cashmere scarf and throw from SLATE + SALT is handloomed in Pokhara, Nepal, by blind, deaf, or disabled weavers working with a local non-profit that provides training, tools, and long-term support. In Nepal, people with disabilities face real barriers to work and independence. Weaving changes that. It offers steady income, builds confidence, and shifts how weavers are seen within their own families and communities. The organisation also donates assistive devices, distributes food and medicine to aged-care homes, and provides disaster relief to earthquake and landslide victims.
