✨ Benefits
- 🍽️ Rich, classic carrot flavour that holds through cooking — perfect for roasting, soups, and fresh snacking alike.
- ❄️ Frost-sweetened taste: Leave them in the ground a little longer and a light frost actually improves their flavour. Nature does the work for you.
- 🌍 Adaptable and forgiving: Performs well in a range of soil types, making it a reliable choice even in less-than-perfect garden beds.
- 🔄 Succession planting made easy: Sow every 3 weeks from early spring through early summer and enjoy a steady supply all season long.
- 🎁 A thoughtful, sustainable gift: These seeds make a genuinely lovely gift for anyone who loves to grow their own food — practical, eco-conscious, and endlessly rewarding.
- 🌱 Save your own seeds: Open-pollinated means you can save seeds year after year, reducing waste and growing costs over time.
🌱 How to Grow
- Step 1 — Sow direct: Sow seeds directly into the ground in early spring as soon as the soil can be worked. Don't start these indoors — carrots don't like being transplanted.
- Step 2 — Plant at the right depth: Press seeds just ¼ inch deep and keep the soil evenly moist until germination (14–21 days).
- Step 3 — Thin carefully: Once seedlings are established, thin to 2–3 inches apart. This step matters — crowded carrots won't develop properly.
- Step 4 — Succession sow: Plant a new row every 3 weeks through early summer to keep the harvest coming rather than having everything ready at once.
- Step 5 — Harvest and enjoy: Roots are ready in 70–80 days. If a light frost is forecast, leave them in — the cold sweetens the flavour naturally.
